Julia Moffatt
Julia has recently joined our Criminal Team. She obtained her LLB Hons degree at Kingston Polytechnic and qualified as a solicitor in 1990. Since that date Julia has obtained considerable criminal experience both as a Practising Solicitor and also as a Legal Editor on the Criminal Law and Personal Injury team at Sweet & Maxwell.
Since returning to hands on criminal law in 1998, Julia has conducted a great range of criminal cases, including full hearings at the Court of Appeal, challenging the High Court procedure for the setting of murder tariffs in addition to many serious cases in the Crown and Magistrates Court.
As an Amnesty International Urgent Action participant, Julia is committed to ensuring a fair trial process and the enforcement of human rights.
Julia is currently under going training to become an Independent Appeals Tribunal member.
